Medi-Blue Deluxe

In addition to all the benefits of Medi-Blue, Medi-Blue Deluxe includes:

  • BlueNet point-of-sale drug claim processing system
  • Hearing aids
  • Day surgery assisted care
  • Orthotics
  • Enhanced private duty nursing
  • Blood pressure monitor

Eligibility

  • Available to all residents of Manitoba covered by Manitoba Health.
  • No age limit.
  • Family coverage includes the applicant, spouse (or common-law spouse) and dependent children (unmarried and unemployed) up to the age of 21.
  • To be eligible, your spouse (or common-law spouse) and eligible dependents must be listed on the application.
  • A minimum cohabitation period of one year is required for a common-law spouse.
  • To be eligible for the Deluxe plan the application with the completed medical questions must be accepted by Manitoba Blue Cross.

When Will My Coverage Become Effective?

Coverage will become effective the first of the month following three months from the date the application is received.

Example:

  • Application received January 12
  • Three months later April 12
  • Coverage effective May 1

Important Information Before You Apply

In order to be covered, your spouse or common-law spouse and all eligible dependents must be listed on the application. If you are applying for the Medi-Blue Plan Deluxe, you will be required to complete the medical questionnaire portion of the application.

Please Note: If your application is not accepted for the Medi-Blue Plan Deluxe you will still be eligible for the Medi-Blue Plan. Coverage will become effective on the first of the month following three months from the date the application is received. If you are a new resident to Manitoba, or have recently lost benefits with an employer group, please contact our office as enrollment procedures may differ.
