Wellness Modules

Research confirms the benefits of healthier, fitter employees. They have fewer and lower long-term medical claims, they are absent less, their disability costs are lower, and their personal productivity and job/life satisfaction levels are higher.

Many factors influence wellbeing. Diet, exercise, smoking, stress, alcohol intake, genetics and the environment are just a few. Although we don't have control over all of these factors, the ones we can influence have a major impact on health and wellbeing.

Our specially designed, comprehensive wellness programs give employers powerful tools to help employees make healthier lifestyle choices. The modules range in length from one-time clinics to sustained, weekly sessions.

Healthy Choices

Health Awareness

  • Physiological Testing

    Qualified medical personnel will determine measures such as blood pressure and cholesterol levels so that employees are informed of any underlying health risks.

  • Flu Prevention

    Reduce the risk of getting influenza with a yearly vaccination. A nurse will attend your workplace to administer flu shots during the months of October and November.

Alternative Health

  • Meditation

    An experienced meditation instructor will come to your workplace to introduce meditation techniques and how they can reduce many stress-related ailments.

  • Yoga

    Through the practice of basic postures, a certified Ashtanga instructor will teach employees how yoga can relax and relieve tension in the body.

  • Shiatsu Massage

    A registered Shiatsu therapist will attend your workplace to provide 15-minute massage sessions to individual employees, leaving them relaxed and refreshed.

Lifestyle Change

  • Weight Loss

    A registered dietician leads this six-week program designed to educate and empower employees towards maintaining a healthy weight.

  • Smoking Cessation

    This six-week program helps those striving to quit smoking by addressing behaviour management and addiction factors. It offers pharmacological information as well as behavioural counselling including stress management, relapse prevention and maintenance.

  • Boot Camps & Personal Training

    Invite a personal trainer to your workplace to create and maintain a staff group exercise program on site. Each employee receives a pre-exercise consultation. For workplaces with fitness facility access, one-on-one personal training sessions are also available.

Healthy Work

  • Reducing Risks for Improved Health

    These seven sessions educate employees about how being physically healthy and fit will decrease health risk factors. Ideal for employees who want to make lifestyle changes but are not sure where to begin.

  • Nutrition at Work

    A registered dietician will teach employees how to recognize healthier food choices, tips for packing lunches as well as how to avoid snacking downfalls.

  • Onsite Ergonomics Coaching

    Tailored sessions are available for the following:

    • Ergonomic assessment and report/recommendations
    • Job and/or physical demand analysis
    • Job hazards analysis and risk identification
    • Return to work development, coordination and monitoring
    • Worksite assessment, on-site job coaching
    • Functional capacity evaluations or functional testing
    • Home assessment
    • Stretch break development and implementation

  • Ergonomics

    This one hour workshop helps employees identify workplace risks, such as concerns associated with repetitive strain injuries. Developed by our occupational therapist, the workshop provides tools to maximize the ability of employees to prevent injury and increase overall productivity.

    Following a pre-workshop visit between the occupational therapist and employer, employees will attend a customized workshop to meet the needs of both the workplace and employees.
