Archer Jay Lyon took another step closer to the London 2012 Olympics this weekend by earning a silver medal in the men's individual recurve competition at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Jay, a Winnipeg amateur athlete who is sponsored by Manitoba Blue Cross, narrowly lost the gold medal to India's Rahul Banerjee in a shootout. The 24-year-old said that the medal is a "good confidence booster", and described the show down as "pretty intense".

Manitoba Blue Cross congratulates Jay on a fantastic performance and is proud to support him on his continued quest toward the podium in London.
